Thank You, HSBC, for your Educational Grant of $10,000 to KFAM’s Readiness for School Program!

We are grateful for HSBC’s recent education grant of $10,000 for a second year in a row to our annual Readiness for School Program (R4S). R4S is a 17-year-old program that prepares young children (preschool and elementary school age) and their predominately low-income, limited English speaking, immigrant parents for the transition into the American school system. Through parenting seminars, child safety children’s workshops, parent-child field trips, and distribution of written resources, R4S educates and empowers immigrant parents to become more engaged in their children’s schools, helps children be safe from abuse, and strengthens parenting-child relationships. Our Readiness for School program has served thousands of Korean American families since its inception.
